Horror that Feels Real and Immediate
February 6, 2018
Format: Paperback

Sheehanís book starts with a fascinating premise. What if Bram Stoker had really met a vampire. Not the famous Vlad Tepes, but something else. Something darker, and more sinister. Her story follows the life of Dan Tugur, vampire hunter, martial arts master, and our guide into the world he inhabits. The first person narrative provides a compelling backdrop and allows the reader to discover what is, and is not, real along with Dan.

I can call him Dan. He feels like a friend. And that is entirely due to the authenticity with which Sheehan brings him to life. She eschews the first person narrative when she brings the vampireís coven to life. Instead, viewing them from the outside. Their leader, a soulless, in every sense of the word, immortal named Dragomar, is the kind of character who personifies evil. Gleefully, and fully aware he has no match among mere mortals. His bloodline, if you will, is his sole concern. She flips back from the first person narrative to an outside view as the story moves along. It gives the book a natural feel, giving the reader a chance to see things Dan does not. At least not right away.

From the very beginning, when we meet Danís best friend, and teacher, Shen, to the very end, with one of the quietest endings Iíve ever read, Sheehan does a wonderful job bringing Danís tortured world to life and allows the ramifications of his existence on those who know him to play out realistically.

Side note; knowing a vampire hunter is dangerous.

There are a couple of rough spots grammatically but none were enough to make me want to stop reading or cause it to lose a star. And, when done, I must admit I wanted to know more. If this is the first book, and it is, then this series to come promises to be entertaining and terrifying. Not a bad combination.

A fine blend of fantasy and reality, highly recommended
By Midwest Book Review  VAMPIRE INIQUITY

Usually those behind prostitution and human trafficking business are monsters, but in this case it's literal. "Vampire Iniquity" (formerly Vampires in Vegas by R. A. Lura) is a story of modern vampires. The son of Count Dracula has for years been working on a wayfor his kind to build up resistance and immunity to the burning sun that so often ails them. Their methods are far from morally right, as theyset up their own breeding operation to use human DNA for their methods. But they happened to kidnap the wrong girl... "Vampire Iniquity" is a fine blend of fantasy and reality, highly recommended.

5 Star Smashwords Review by: mandarich1983 VAMPIRE INIQUITY

This is a romance series with a twist. If you're looking for a sappy romance novel where you know the ending by page 50, this isn't the book for you. But, if you want a novel that has hot, sexy heros doing what needs to be done all for the sake of love, then by all means reaad this book. It has love, intrigue, danger, heartache, discovery, lovliness, grossness, etc. The characters were wll written. I could easily see myself having coffee with any of them. I can't wait to read books 2 and 3.

I'll definitely read the other two books in this collection

Format: Kindle Edition (no name)

This story was written point of view by Dan Tugurlan which didn't surprise me. I've read some of Eileen Sheehan's other books and she tends to favor point of view. What did surprise me is that the plot was very different than the others I've read. It had a lot more thrills and villains in the story. I really liked her other works, but I like this style too. I've become a fan of Sheehan's so I read her historical romance that she wrote with the pen name of Ailene Frances and found she's quite consistent with her quality and creativity. She's proving to be a versatile author who deserves to get noticed. I'll definitely read the other two books in this collection.

Such a great book. This authors imagination astounds me. This book has New yakes on vampires as well as the same legends we've heard. Its got everything I could want. Love, loss, mystery, hot guys who know martial arts and lots of action.
Shen is a master martial artist and has taught his friend and student Fan. Shens fiancee is abducted while coming to the US from China. Dann and Shen take off to try to find\rescue her. On the way they find out things about themselves and the world they never thought possible let alone true.
This book is told from Dan's point of view but also sometimes it reads like a journal of Dan telling us what his friends told him of their experiences along the way.

Not your typical Dracula story!
January 25, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition

The prologue being in first person for this book captured my attention right away. I am so used to seeing things written in third person. We learn about our storyteller's friend, Shen. How did Dan meet him? Who is Dao-Ming? What is going on that has our men hopping on planes and flying 5 hours across the country? Who is Stevenson and why is Shen looking for him? What price does Stevenson tell Shen it will cost him for what Shen is looking for? Who is Wadim? Where are Shen and his friend directed to? Who is Mr. Tugur? I find myself liking a woman named Mei-Lien. Well, if you can call her a woman. I'm not yet sure what to call her. However, I do like her. I like what she says to Dao-Ming. On the night after a bride was taken by Wadim, what is supposed to happen? This was a very interesting read. Not at all the typical Dracula the Vampire book that many turn into. I enjoyed it and hope you do too.

5 STAR SMASHWORDS Review by: mandarich1983: THE CURE

The story took a twist from focusing on killing evil vampires to actually teaming up with them to help Ben find a cure for his werewolf affliction. I loved the way Ben and Tamara hooked up in the cave. Very creative. Eileen kept true to her writing skills and developed the characters and the story line in a believable and likable way. All in all, it was an enjoyable read that made me excited about continuing on with the story in book 3!

5 stars    THE CURE
Such a great book with lots of action that kept the book ...
January 24, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition

This is the continuation of Vampire Iniquity. I can't say much because I don't want to give away what happens. I will say its almost all the same main characters from the first book joined by a few new ones. This book continues where the first left off. Dan and Shen joined by Bruce are looking forward to some downtime before going back to look for and save Tatyana and her baby brother Charles. Unfortunately they don't get what they want. As they race to find Tatyana they have to deal with new vampires as well as old coming for each of them as well as a New threat that may make one of them a monster. Such a great book with lots of action that kept the book flowing and me reading as fast as I can to find out what happens.

I read book 2, "The Cure", and couldn't take a break. I immediately had to read book 3. Eileen kept me on the edge of my seat as well as surprised me with a few things. Vympires from the planet Vympirus? Now that's a new twist to the story. I liked the fact that the Vympires were good and the vampires are a mutant strain of them. The fact that Dan found love among them when he's a slayer was a nice touch. All in all.... I highly recommend this trilogy. I think it was left so that it could become more than a trilogy. If that happens, I will definitely continue reading.

Its not really a love story. There is lots of love and loss ...
January 24, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition

This book is fast paced and action packed. Its not really a love story. There is lots of love and loss but it's between all the characters so its not centered on just one couple. This is the 3rd book of the series and I hope it isnt the last. It ends leaving me wondering. All the same characters are back in this book as well as some we thought dead or forgotten. In this book our group of vampire fighters realize Wadims influence was more than they though and find he's set up satellite offices all over making mutant vampires. Now Tatyana is covered as a bride for one clan as Shen Wu is covered for breeding stock again. Definitely a must read.
