Night Times: Book One is a supernatural thriller by Eileen Sheehan. Ethan McGowan has roamed Earth for two hundred years, plagued by grief over the loss of his beloved wife, Judith. Being a vampire has made him immortal, yet his heart is still broken. But when he meets Arabella Calderon at a costume party, he believes he has found Judith again. Arabella is an antiques dealer who feels an instant connection with Ethan. However, Olive Thommason from the Vampire League is obsessed with Ethan and will stop at nothing to hurt Arabella. For fans of supernatural thrillers involving vampires, Night Times has got everything they crave. As a fan of Eileen Sheehan's books myself, I absolutely loved this addition to her supernatural fiction catalogue. Sheehan has created yet another immersive fantastical world full of vampires, witches, and monster hunters. The book is fast-paced, and since I was enjoying it so much, the pages just flew by. It doesn't take long for the reader to get into the scheme of things as we're introduced to the two main characters within the first couple of chapters. Ethan and Arabella's romance is intense, and you can't help but root for them to end up together. I also found the monster hunter Jessup very likable. Overall, it's a great book for readers of vampire fiction. You're going to love this!

Night Times by Eileen Sheehan drops you into a world where romance and the supernatural mix together. The story centers around Arabella, an antique dealer with a curious charm, and Ethan, a vampire who’s still dealing with the pain and regret of how he was turned. One night at a costume party, Ethan spots Arabella—she looks so much like his late wife, Judith, it stirs up everything he’s been trying to forget. This is enough to pull him in, so he shows up at her shop, hoping for a connection. Unfortunately, this turns out to be a bad idea, as Olive, a jealous vampire who has been obsessed with Ethan for years, sets a trap for them. Arabella is placed in a difficult situation because she is a human exposed to knowledge of vampires' existence. She also starts getting glimpses of a past life as a vampire hunter in her dreams, which attracts the attention of a secret society that kills vampires. As their relationship progresses, both the Vampire League and hunters want Ethan and Arabella apart.

Night Times is the first book in A Vampire Romance series by Eileen Sheehan, and it lays an intriguing foundation for the story. Ethan and Arabella’s relationship is full of passion, but it’s messy—tangled up in old secrets and rules that say they shouldn’t even be together. It feels like the whole world is stacked against them, but they keep fighting to stay close. Sheehan doesn’t just focus on romance. She digs into what love and trust really mean when everything’s on the line. There’s also a raw look at what it means for a vampire to lose their humanity—how turning immortal tears you away from who you used to be, and from people you once knew. Immortality in this story isn’t just sparkling and forever-young; it comes with a price: isolation, loss, and sometimes the fading of your own sense of self. Still, there’s a flip side—it can mean never-ending love and the fierce desire to protect. Just when you think you have it figured out, the epilogue throws in a shocking twist that flips the whole story and leaves you itching to know what happens next. If you’re in the mood for a supernatural drama that goes beyond the usual tropes—one that really leans into the pain, the memories, and the kind of love that won’t quit—this book is definitely worth your time.

Night Times by Eileen Sheehan is the first book in what promises to be a thrilling trilogy. Arabella Calderon is an antiques dealer who has always believed that objects have memory. What she never expected was that she would be one. When she meets Ethan at a costume party, she’s dragged into a world she never knew existed, a world filled with hunters, vampires, and the unsettling feeling that it all seems familiar. The pull between her and Ethan is undeniable, but it's more like recognition, and for Ethan, it’s even stronger. He’s spent 200 years remembering the woman he lost, and Arabella is so much like her that it all comes rushing back. Could she be Judith reincarnated? As Arabella begins to remember her past, she is dragged into something dangerous tied to an ancient order of vampire hunters. Secrets begin to surface, secrets that could destroy everything, and Arabella and Ethan are in the middle of it. Can they get out of this? Ethan has a big decision to make, one that could change everything forever.

Night Times by Eileen Sheehan is the start of an atmospheric, slow-burn vampire romance story, one that draws you in gradually before the teeth come out. The relationship between Arabella and Ethan drives the story. Arabella is a sharp, assertive character with plenty of humor, while Ethan is restrained and filled with anguish over the past. The supporting characters are equally well-developed, bringing a sense of unpredictability and danger to the story. The reincarnation is an exciting aspect of the plot that will have readers invested in two stories – the centuries-old story of Ethan and Judith and the current-day romance between Ethan and Arabella. This is not a light-hearted read, and it isn’t for younger readers. As the story progresses, the tension rises, and the danger escalates right up until the last page, where readers are left hanging, waiting for the next part. If you like a good paranormal romance with plenty of depth, you’ll enjoy this.
